Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

For those busy weeknights!

I N G R E D I E N T S

* flank steak * corn starch * ginger * garlic cloves * scallions

* soy sauce * brown sugar * sesame oil * sesame seeds * vegetable oil

C U B E  T H E   F L A N K  S T E A K

After cutting into thick strips, evenly cube the flank steak into 1-inch pieces.

M I N C E  T H E  G I N G E R

Finely mince a 1-inch, peeled piece of fresh ginger.

M I N C E  T H E  G A R L I C

Finely mince 3 whole garlic cloves.

S E A S O N  T H E  B E E F

Place the cubed beef in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

C O A T  I N  C O R N S T A R C H

Thoroughly coat the cubed beef in corn starch.

M A K E  T H E  S A U C E

Make the sauce for the beef and add it into the bowl.

C O M B I N E  W I T H  B E E F

Stir the sauce into the beef until well-combined.

S L I C E  T H E  S C A L L I O N S

Slice the scallions, using both the green and white parts, and add it to the beef mixture.

C O O K   I N  T H E  C R O C K P O T

Add the beef mixture into the slow cooker (a.k.a., Crockpot).  Set it and forget it!

Serve over steamed white rice, and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
